Chambersburg PA — To continue our promise of “Delivering Extra Miles in Extraordinary Ways,” IMI is bringing the entire company together at our brand new headquarters, located just a few miles away from our previous office centers in Chambersburg, PA.
“By having the company under one roof, we can become even more efficient,” IMI President and CEO Bob Fogal, Jr. said. “The right space will keep the whole company focused in one direction in service of our customers, while allowing us to be more effective at providing a wide range of industry leading solutions.”
The state-of-the-art facility features a combined office space: an operations center; and an innovation area dedicated for design and development teams to brainstorm and collaborate on original ideas. In addition, the new headquarters boasts a one-of-a-kind engineering lab, for the creation of industry-leading solutions. “We want to make our work environment better so that we can be the best for our customers,” Bob Fogal, Jr. said.
The new base of operations will not only assist with continuous improvement upon our customer service response and delivery effectiveness, but it will also keep IMI on the cutting edge of solving the critical problems facing the commercial trucking industry. In fact, the dedicated team is already developing several innovative solutions at the new location.
Another perk of the new location is its direct access to Interstate-81, allowing for field testing of products locally on the interstate. Providing the best service and solutions is now possible with the ability to product test directly on the highway – easily allowing the replication of what drivers experience on actual roads. Our new EQUAL FLEXX directly benefitted from this over-the-road testing, becoming the most scientifically tested and refined internal balancer available, with 50+ compounds having been put to the test. After this testing, EQUAL FLEXX ultimately delivered 15% better performance, resulting in greater fuel and tire savings for our fleet customers.
The decision to stay in Chambersburg was quite simple: the borough offers small-town advantages, yet is located a short drive from several major metropolitan areas, and many IMI employees live in and love Chambersburg.
