MEET CARISSA BURGETTTHE PROTAGONIST
Carissa Burgett is our Executive Assistant. She began her career in the admin field in 2012 when she started volunteering at Army Community Service as a Relocation Assistant while her husband was in the Army. While there, she realized how much she loved organizing, planning, and assisting executives. After, she became a Patient Coordinator/Office Assistant at a small family company, then an Administrative Assistant with a large corporate company. She joined IMI in 2017 when her family moved back to their home state of Pennsylvania. Here, she is the assistant to the President/CEO and assists all departments in different daily needs. Carissa is currently in school to get her CAP Certification with the IAAP.
She loves working in admin and believes there is something powerful in helping an executive be the best they can be! She believes a good assistant is someone who is proactive, a quick thinker, and organized, leads by example, and is most of all, trustworthy. IMI has given her countless opportunities to lead events, meetings, and activities and the ability to work closely with her executives.
Carissa has been married for over 10 years and has a daughter named Amelia. She also has two furry children, dogs named Bruiser and Taz. She’s a Girl Scout leader to 16 Kindergarten–2nd graders. She loves art and being creative. Her favorite relaxing thing to do is read a good book on the beach.
