MEET CHRIS RUDYK

THE "WALTER"

ABOUT CHRIS

Chris Rudyk is our Product Support Specialist. He came to IMI 22 years ago when the company was in need of a field technician, and it fit the bill for his skillset in the trades (welding, mechanics, and electrical). It also gave him an opportunity to run job sites and work on logistical problems. Prior to joining IMI, he was a structural welder and construction worker in various industries. He spent a good deal of time working in the power industry, power generating infrastructure, mining, and construction.

He specializes in troubleshooting equipment, systems, and processes, testing products, creating protocols, and developing new products for our industry. He considers himself lucky being on the ground floor of kicking around a new idea and moving it forward with a team.

Chris currently resides in Waynesboro, PA with his wife and better-half Melissa. He has a son and two nephews that he’s very proud of and spends most of his “free” time working with a National Conservation Organization called Trout Unlimited, helping to preserve our cold water sources. When the opportunity strikes, he gets a little fly fishing in.

GET TO KNOW CHRIS…

CHRIS’s favorite Core ValueS ARE DRIVE AND GRIT.

For me, they are one in the same. I have seen, experienced, and driven a bad or negative issue or circumstance into a positive outcome with sheer determination not to fail and turn a bad situation into something positive, and in some cases, inspired others not to quit when things get ugly. I do not recall the author, but, “A first rate idea to late is meaningless, and a second rate idea on time with 100% of your effort and determination will win the day.” I always liked that quote.

CHRIS’S favorite part of working at IMI is…

Things that make me tick….Research, engineering, design, process writing. Working with a group driven towards an end goal.
