MEET STEFAN KLOPFER
THE BAVARIANABOUT STEFAN
Stefan Klopfer has been responsible for the international activities of IMI since 2012. He has worked in the tyre accessories industry since he left university more than 20 years ago. He started to know IMI as a vendor early in his career. For Stefan, it turned out that the good impression he had at the time about IMI was not just the outside look, but was confirmed when he joined the team. In 2015, IMI Products GmbH, based in Munich, Germany, was founded to better serve the European distribution customers.
He was attracted to joining IMI by the combination of a premium range of solutions with a professional and well-established distribution customer base, accompanied by the IMI team of professional colleagues sharing the same principles. Being aware of the customer demands allows him to offer suitable service levels and efficient processes in cooperation with our distributors.
While he aims to do a good job on the commercial and organizational side, he is glad to have a dedicated team of specialists within IMI to support him and his customers, especially on technical subjects. Stefan trusts that a clear customer focus is essential for his business identity. He says that looking at the network of industry contacts he’s built up over the years, people may start to count him as one of the industry’s dinosaurs (though still a young one).

Success in IMI is, of course, based on the commercial results and to achieve that, I have to know what my customers need and how IMI can fulfill (or exceed) these expectations. Most important for me is that I enjoy a working environment which allows me to fully focus on this, without internal politics and games.
